Arbor Day 2007

Arbor Day 2007 was celebrated in Coltharp park on Friday, April 27th. Hagerman has met the Tree City criteria for six years in a row and Lorraine Simonsen from Wood River RC&D presented the Mayor with "Six Year" stickers to place on the Tree City signs at the entrances to our city. Mr. Robinson and his 5th grade students were on hand to help plant four beautiful blaze maple trees. Arborist Chuch Steele spoke to the students and spectators about the importance of trees and how to protect and care for them. State Representatives Wendy Jaquet and Donna Pence attended the event. Peter Remmen from Hagerman IDEA presented the Mayor with a $150 check to help defray some of the city's cost for the Arbor Day celebration. The City maintenance crew did a great job of preparing the site for planting and supervising the students as they planted the trees.
